WHY I BECAME A COUNSELOR
For Me, Therapy Is Creative Work
My path to counseling wasn’t a straight one.
More than a decade ago, my own experience in therapy gave me one of the first places where I felt deeply honest and truthful with myself. I entered college studying psychology, but ultimately chose a career in interior design.
For years, I wrestled with leaving a career I was successful in to pursue counseling. Eventually, I realized that many of the things I loved most about design were also what drew me toward therapy.
Design taught me to breathe, listen, connect, notice what already exists, and stay curious about what could be possible.
Therapy asks for many of those same things.
I love hearing people’s stories and witnessing the resilience they carry despite what they have experienced. I’m especially drawn to deep, reflective work that gives people room to understand themselves more fully and imagine a life beyond patterns or expectations that may no longer fit.
“To breathe. To listen. To connect.”

MY COUNSELING APPROACH
What It’s Like to Work With Me
I don’t believe therapy requires perfect answers or certainty. I make room for reflection, nuance, and the parts of life that don’t fit neatly into a box.

Warm & Collaborative
Nonjudgmental & Open
Reflective & Curious
Relationship-Focused
We work together. I respect your perspective, your judgment, your worldview, and the pace that feels right for you.
Very little surprises me, and very little feels too taboo to talk about. The spectrum of what is “normal” is much wider than many people realize.
I use thoughtful questions, metaphors, and analogies to help bring experiences and emotions into focus without rushing you toward an answer.
I believe meaningful therapeutic work happens within a relationship where you feel respected, understood, and able to bring your full experience into the room.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
A Little of Home
Outside of therapy, I value creativity, reflection, and the quieter moments of everyday life — especially time at home with my two cats.
They are a small but important part of the life that keeps me grounded, curious, and connected to what matters most.

READY TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP?
You Don’t Have to Know Exactly What to Say
Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you’re not sure where to begin.
You don’t need the right words, a perfect explanation, or a clear plan. If you know something feels difficult, overwhelming, disconnected, or simply different from how you want life to feel, that is enough of a place to start.
You are not alone in what you’re experiencing, and the range of normal is wide.
